DM imposes PSA on hardcore criminal

JAMMU, Sept 8: District Magistrate (DM) Jammu imposed Public Safety Act (PSA) on a hardcore criminal.
As per police sources, DM Jammu has imposed PSA on a hardcore criminal identified as Pankaj Singh alias Panku, son of Gopal Singh, a resident of Kotli Mian Fateh, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
The accused was involved in 9 criminal cases out of which 4 stands registered with Police Station Miran Sahib Jammu, 1 with Police Station Hiranagar and 4 with Police Station Bishnah.
As the accused was involved in murder, attempt to murder, snatching and illegal possession of arms, his presence in society was quite dangerous.
Considering the above facts, subsequently the dossier was prepared and submitted to DM Jammu through proper channel.
On this, DM Jammu granted orders regarding detention of criminal under PSA.
The PSA warrant was executed after making hectic efforts and the criminal has been lodged at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The warrant was executed by a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by Inspector Ajit Singh and assisted by Incharge Police Post Kullian ASI Yougal Kishore, SgCt Karan Singh, SgCt Yash Pal and Constable Farman Ali under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
