JAMMU, Aug 12: The Coordination Committee Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Department Clerical Staff Association (Jammu Province) has decided to observe one day mass casual leave on August 20, 2018 as a protest, as while issuing SRO 333 of August 2, 2018 real justice has not been done with the clerical cadre.
In a meeting of the cadre held here today the members pointed out that the demands with regard to removal of pay anomalies which were projected by the association which were also agreed and accepted by the government in the shape of agreements has been changed and the two increments as was granted after the qualifying Sectt Asstt Examination were also withdrawn, it is injustice and unacceptable to the clerical cadre.
The speakers said that move of Administration by taking a decision on pay anomalies of clerical cadre is appreciable but there was need to review the pay disparities which were created by the State Government in case other employees like, Patwaries, Teachers, Accounts Assistant/ Accountant, Veterinary Assistants, Wool Shearers, Shepherds, Stock Assistants, Extension Assistants, Flock Inspectors, Flock Supervisor and other cadres who were working at par with Junior Assistant, Senior Assistant and Head Assistant up to 1996, are upgraded and pay anomalies of these cadre of were removed by giving notionally benefits w.e.f. 01-01-1996 and monetary benefits w.e.f 19-02-2003 but the clerical cadre was ignored.
They added that the clerical cadre is the backbone of the state administration and areworking from dawn to dusk with full integrity and dedication and are performing multiple task and are under mental and physical stress as well as to remain at the disposal of the officers. They must be provided justice.
The meeting was attended by Babu Hussain Mailk, Ravi Singh Bhau, Anil Mehta, Sukhbir Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ashish Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Arun Kumar, Munish Kumar, Meenakshi Sharma, Yashpal Sharma, Bharat Bushan Kotwal, Mohd Saleem, Onkar Verma, Parkash Singh, Sewa Ram Rathore, Anushya, Daljeet Kour, Rohit George and others.
