JAMMU, Aug 3: The Coordination Committee of Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has urged upon the Governor’s Administration to reconsider SRO 333 issued on August 2, 2018 and provide justice to the cadre.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, senior members Babu Hussain Malik, Ravi Singh Bhau, Sukhbir Singh and others said though they appreciate the move of the Governor’s Administration to take a decision on pay anomalies of certain cadre, but clerical cadre has not received justice. There was need to review SRO 333 of August 2, 2018 where in it has been revealed that the demands projected by the Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association since decades pertaining pay scales have been resolved / modified at different levels.
They pointed out that real justice has not been done with the clerical cadre. They said the pay disparities were created by the State Govt in 5th Pay Commission when the Govt upgraded the pay grade of various cadres including teachers, patwaris, statistical officers, senior scale stenographers , accounts assistants etc. While anomalies in case of others were resolved, clerical cadre was ignored. Others have been enjoying pay scales since January 1996 while clerical cadre once again has been ignored. This is cruel joke with them.
The Coordination Commi-ttee urged upon the SAC to accept the principally agreed demand of the clerical cadre (5th Pay Comm) by granting them pay scales of Rs 4000-6000 Junior Assistants, Rs 4500-7000 to Senior Assistant and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant notionally with effect from January Ist , 1996 and monetary from 19-2-2003 as has already been granted in case of others. The Association resolved to observe mass casual leave on August 6 in the State.
