REASI, June 22: Power went off in Gran Morh and its adjoining areas in Reasi district after a speeding Tipper rammed into electric poles resulting into power breakdown in the area, here today.
Reports said that a Tipper JK02BE- 0845 hit roadside electric poles, this afternoon. Due to impact of the Tipper, seven electric poles got severely damaged and uprooted thus snapping the power supply in the area.
According to Xen Reasi, Thakur Dass, hectic efforts were being made to replace the damaged poles and restore the power supply. However, he added, the damage is massive and it will take some time even as our team is working hard to restore the electricity by late evening.
