Cantt Club drubs Saffron CC by 4 wkts

JAMMU, May 29: Cantt Cricket Club defeated Saffron Cricket Club by 4 wickets in the ongoing District Jammu JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized under the patronage of Administrators of JKCA Justice CK Prasad and Justice Riffat Alam, under the chairmanship of CEO JKCA, AH Bukhari and under the overall supervision of retired Judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Saffron Cricket Club scored 162 runs in 28.5 overs. Sanjay top scored with 47 runs, while Vinayak contributed 26 runs. For Cantt Club, Ashish took 3 wickets, while Parshotam and Dheeraj claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Cantt Cricket Club chased the target in 27.5 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Amar and Rahul were the main contributors with 36 and 25 runs to the total respectively. For Saffron Club, Keshav took 3 wickets. Ashish of Cantt Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
