REASI, May 23: Ajay Nanda, MoS for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Finance, along with other political activists, kick started construction of lane, drain works in Ward Number 3 and Ward Number 7 of Reasi.
While addressing gathering on the occasion, Nanda said that the newly constructed lane and drain at these wards was a long pending demand of the locals who apprised him regarding the issue some time back and he immediately released funds for the works. He added that the present Government believes in the policy of development rather than profiteering and State is heading towards its pristine glory.
“We are working on policy of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ by taking into confidence every segment of the society and are carefully monitoring that all the benefits of Central and State Government schemes must reach every neglected and downtrodden person following principle of `Antodaya’,” the MoS said and appealed to the common masses to monitor the ongoing work for the quality of material and workmanship.
Nanda said that lane and drain works from Duggar Thara, Ward 7 are being executed with an estimated cost of Rs 22.80 lakh.
EO Reasi, Rattan Lal Sharma, Dheeraj Gupta, Pawan Dev Singh, Rinku Rasyal, Kuldeep Mengi, Surinder Sharma and others were among the prominent persons present on the occasion.
