Altaf Bukhari inaugurates art exhibition at Kala Kendra

JAMMU, Apr 4:  4th International Art Exhibition by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu was inaugurated at Kala Kendra, Jammu by  Sayed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari,  Minister for Education, Finance, Labour and Employment, J&K State.
Zafar Iqbal Manhas,  MLC  and vice president, J&K State Cultural Academy and  MY Taing, former Director General Culture, J&K State were present as guests of honour on this occasion. The exhibition is dedicated to Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Well known senior and young artists of the country as well abroad have displayed their creativity with participation in the exhibition.

Senior and young artists of J&K state who displayed their art in this exhibition include N D Jamwal, Gokal Dembi, TS Batra, Raj Bharti, Jang S Verman, (Late) Gobind Kaur, Shafi Chaman, Ganesh Kumar Sharma, Ifitkhar Jaffar, Ashok Mehra, Aslam Naqishbandi, Kamal Nain Bhan, O P Sharma, Rouf Qayasi, MY Bacha, Shakti Kumari, Amrit Kaur, Rattan Bhardwaj, Anila Singh Charak, Bhupinder Singh Sasan, Payal Chadha Gupta, Gaurav Kapoor, Kareen Mahajan, Nidhi Jain and Megha Khajuria.
The other artists from different states of India, whose works will be displayed in the show are VS Rahi, Dr AK Dixit, Mangee Ram Sharma and KK Shreedhara (New Delhi, Prabhinder Lall and Shoma Das (Chandigarh), Dr Nathu Lal Verma, Dr Nisha Soni (Rajsthan), Anuradha Thakur and Madhura Monan Sarade (Maharashtra), KS Gill, Dharminder Sharma, Mala Chawla, Deepa Singh, Gaytri and Nisha (Punjab), Dr Mamta Singh (Uttra Khand), Pratima Singh (UP), Ananna Roy Choudhary and Sikha Nandan (West Bengal).
The art works of the following artists from abroad including Dr Clemens Beunkun Sou (South Kore), Thu Suong Vo (Vietnam), Feriha Zeba, Nondita Sutar and Kazi Nowrin Misha (Bangla Desh), Leyela Yildirin (Turkey), Maria Hossain (US) and Olga Kozulenka (Russia) will also be displayed in the exhibition.
Welcoming the guests OP Sharma, director JKCCA said that the organization is working with zeal for the promotion, preservation and patronizing art, culture and literary activities at regional, national and international level.
A portrait painting of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed made by KS Gill, a portrait painter from Amritsar was also presented  to the chief guest. The exhibition will remain open from 11 AM to 6 PM on  April 5-7, 2018.
