LAHDC Kargil polls: BJP holds meeting with Ladakh leaders

JAMMU, Apr 2: Keeping an eye on approaching election in the region, BJP national vice-president and Prabhari J&K State, Avinash Rai Khanna along with BJP State president Sat Sharma, State general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, State general secretaries Dr Narinder Singh and Pawan Khajuria conducted a crucial meeting with leaders from the Leh and Kargil at party headquarter.
Both districts were instructed to start work for draft of manifestos for LAHDC, MP and MLA elections by keeping the public demand in clear view by the party functionaries.
BJP District president from Leh and Kargil, Tsewang Gonbo and Mohd. Ali Majaz along with other senior leaders from the region presented their viewpoints on the current issues in the meeting.
District president Kargil was asked to frame strategy for the upcoming Council elections including extension of contacts with NGOs and religious organizations. It was decided to make strategy for every single seat all including the seats with expected good results for the party to ensure the win in Kargil Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC).
Avinash Rai Khanna advised the district presidents to submit grievances of the public concern in written form on a regular basis, while prompting them to work more aggressively in the field for the benefit of public. He also gave many important tits and bits to the party leaders for the extension of party activities in the region. He asked them to always stand along with public on development and personal issues and adopt politics as duty, not as reward.
Sat Sharma ensured the leadership from Leh and Kargil for extending every possible organizational help to the region.
Issues like increasing the employment in the region while stressing on the entrepreneurship and local avenues were taken up. It was also discussed in the meeting that there should be more transparency in the recruitment process and the concerned agencies.
It was also decided in the meeting to work extensively for the development of the tourist infrastructure in the region. Improvement in education facilities in the area, developing alternate route for Shree Amarnath Ji Yatra through the region were also discussed.
District presidents also presented their demand in front of high command for need of bringing closer coordination among party and ministers as well as urgent need of bringing about better coordination between leaders and bureaucracy.
