SRO-202 victims
Sir,
This has reference to article SRO-202 violates New Minimum Wages Rules by Dr R Muzaffar Bhat and a write up by Advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat on the same subject.
In this connection it is pertinent to mention that no other clause of this SRO-202 for fast track recruitment has been implemented on the ground except less and unjustified payment of salary.
The Government of the day should feel the pain of SRO-202 employees that what would be the State of mind and level of frustration of an employees getting 6000 pay after acquiring Ph.D, NET, M.Sc and M.Ed like qualification from reputed Universities.
Still one step further, the Government included 10+2 Gazetted Lecturer into this SRO-202 even when they were recruited through PSC by way of the same Advertisement like Doctors and Engineers and Lecturers of Medical Colleges etc. So question arises why this injustice with 10+2 school Lecturer only? The SRO – 202 employees have knocked every door for the sake of justice from CM’s Grievances Cell to ministers and legislators etc; but this SRO has not been revoked yet. At this time when Private Security Guard even gets about ten thousand plus salary, how these employees will feed their families in these hard times. In addition, there is no clarification that after the implementation of the Pay Commission what would be the state of affairs of these employees because the minimum scale will go up considerably as basic pay and they are entitled for the same being permanent employees. So the Government should understand the gravity of the situation and issue orders for revoking SRO-202 in the interest of justice.
