JAMMU, Feb 24: Pounichak police arrested a mobile phones snatcher.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Pounichak Police Post intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered a mobile phone from the possession of the person, which he had stolen from Talab Tillo area.
Police arrested the accused, who has been identified as Ajay Partap Singh alias Abbu, son of Mohan Singh, a resident of Kachi Chawani.
The accused confessed his involvement in some other mobile phones snatching cases.
Accordingly, the accused was handed over to Police Post Pounichak along with snatched mobile phone.
Investigation of the accused is going on and some more recoveries of snatched mobile phones are likely to be made.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Pounichak SI Arun Slathia made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Sumeet Sharma, Incharge SDPO Sunaiya Ashkoor Wani and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Slathia.
