Interlocutor toeing separatists agenda in State: Harsh Dev

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 23: Accusing the interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma of working in furtherance of the separatist agenda of Kashmir centric forces, NPP chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh today decried the blatant disregard for the concerns of Jammu region by the said Central representative.
Despite hundreds of delegations of Jammu region having projected the issues of Jammu and its perpetual subjugation by Kashmir dominated political system, before the interlocutor, not a single issue was reported to have been addressed.
Addressing a press conference here today,  Singh said that several statements made by the interlocutor and appearing in the media revealed that immediately after his political sojourn to Kashmir, he had recommended and ensured the release of stone pelters despite gravest of offences registered against them for attacks on armed forces. He said that the interlocutor had further made a statement assuring the separatists forces in Kashmir that Art 35A would not be tinkered with despite the matter being sub justice in the Apex Court.
He further expressed his dismay over the media reports wherein the interlocutor had recommended the grant of citizenship/state subject rights to the dependents/families of terrorists who had married in Pak and returned to Kashmir by illegally crossing the borders through Nepal route. He accused the Interlocutor for his recommendations over Rehabilitation Policy for surrendered militants and deceased stone pelters families which had severely dampened the morals of security forces.
Regretting the highly pathetic plight of border dwellers, Singh deplored their utter neglect with no action or recommendation having been made for ameliorating their lot by the so called special representative. The repeated assurances of giving them five marla plots besides reservations in jobs to IB dwellers failed to receive any attention of the Central representative, he said.
Pointing towards the brutal police action and atrocities committed upon the protesting employees of Jammu belonging to various Govt deptts including Anganwari workers, MGNREGA, NHM employees, temporary teachers etc Singh said these highly qualified unemployed youth were being exploited. He said the policies for appeasement to stone pelters, anti- nationals and surrendered militants were being framed on regular bases, the issues of Jammu region appeared to have been consigned to the dustbin.
Expressing displeasure over the brazen contemptuous disregard for Jammu,  Singh described the interlocutor’s appointment as another fraud of the Central Govt with a highly marginalized Jammu region.
