This has reference to the article “SRO 202 violates minimum wages” published in Daily Excelsior some time ago.
We, the newly recruited employees of Hospitality and Protocol Department were recruited under new Recruitment Policy SRO 202 of 2015. It is total injustice with us that we are posted 1000 kilometers away from home town at Resident Commission office in New Delhi. Besides posting us far away from home town our monthly salary has been fixed as Rs 7000 per month for the first five years without having any increments.It is violation of New Minimum Wage Rules framed by J&K Government.
We believe it’s sheer exploitation of highly qualified and unemployed youth of J&K. It is very difficult for us to survive in a metropolitan city like New Delhi with mere Rs 7000 as salary. We request PDP-BJP Government to revoke new recruitment policy under SRO 202 of 2015 in the State. It is hard for the new recruits to start their career on peanuts.
