KATRA, Feb 19: Keeping in view the present security scenario and sensitivity of Railway Stations/Railway track, SSP Railways Katra, Ranjit Singh Sambyal reviewed the security of Railway Sub Division Udhampur.
The SSP, accompanied by SDPO Railways Udhampur, SHO P/S GRP Udhampur conducted checking on foot of all the beats/static guards deployed at the Railway track/tunnels/ bridges from Railway Station Udhampur to Railway Station Ramnagar. While checking, SSP interacted with the deployed personnel and on spot directions were imparted to them to maintain high alertness. SSP also took stock of basic amenities being provided to them and on spot directions were given to SDPO and SHO for their improvement and put forth the requirements if any, so that the matter can be taken up with higher authorities.
On the way meetings with the civilians residing nearby the Railway track were also conducted and people were advised to inform the police on the notice of any unattended substance and suspicious movements at and around the Railway track/ Railway Stations.
All the GRP personnel deployed at the Railway Stations/Railway track were directed to keep a close liaison with the locals of the area to get advance inputs. SDPO and SHO were directed to intensify the checking and patrolling of the Railway Stations/track as well as its surroundings especially in wee and evening hours so that a foolproof security could be maintained.
