JAMMU, Feb 18: In the loving memory of Sant Gurbaksh Singh ji Danna, a grand religious congregation (Gurmat Samagam) was organised by Sant Pura Danna Charitable Trust at Gurudwara Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji, Akhnoor Road Domana, under the patronage of Sant Tejwant Singh ji, Dera Mukhi, Sant Pura Danna today.
The programme was organised with the active cooperation of Joginder Singh Bali and Joginder Kour Bali (Hong Kong Waley) and Baldev Singh, CEO Peaks Auto Ltd, TS Wazir Chairman SGPB and Advocate Surinder Kour.
Renowned Ragi Bhai Gurmeet Singh Ji, Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib, while reciting `Shabad Kirtan’ said that teachings and principles of the great tenth Guru are more relevant today and can be helpful in bringing peace in the whole world.
Ragi Jathas of Bhai Kulvinder Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh, Bhai Kulvinder Singh, Bhai Rajinder Singh and Tadi Jatha of Amrik Singh also recited Shabad Kirtan on the occasion.
Bhai Ranjit Singh, Head Granthi Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib Delhi, appealed to the people to follow the path shown by this great Guru for the world peace and serve the humanity.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, general secretary DSGMC and BJP MLA Delhi besides highlighting the sacrifices of the Sikh Community and the teachings of Guru Sahib towards the service of humanity also took up the serious issues being faced by the community in the State of J&K concerns like Anand Marriage Act, application of Minority Commission in the State and the job placement for the Sikh youths living in the Valley at par with the Kashmiri Pandits, for whom the government has already announced the said package.
Dr Jaspal Singh, former Ambassador and Vice Chancellor Punjabi University Patiala said that Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna was a revolutionary person, spiritual upright personality, who spread the message of peace, universal brotherhood and Sikhism.
