DC reviews status of works under CM’s commitments

KUPWARA, Feb 14:   Dist-rict Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir  today reviewed  the  status of ongoing developmental works being executed in pursuance of directions passed by the  Chief Minister during the  public grievances camp  held at Kupwara recently.
The meeting  among others was attended by SE PDD,  Chief Education Officer, Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer,  Chief Horticulture Officer,  Chief Agriculture Officer,  Executive Engineers of  R&B, PHE & PDD, Executive Engineer  Ground Water  Division Srinagar, Executive Engineer Mechanical Irrigation Baramulla, District Social Welfare Officer and District Panchayat  Officer  etc.
It was informed  during the meeting that  157 decisions/directions for various  nature were passed by the Chief Minister, which include developmental works,  preparation of  DPR for various projects/up-gradation of health  and various  educational institutions, administrative policy decisions etc.
It was noted  that 63  directions/ decisions have  implemented  so far, while 22 decisions  have partially implemented and  would be taken to logical conclusion shortly. Further , action has been initiated  for   implementation of 61 decisions  by various departments  of  the State Government.
It was informed that 76 development works  have been taken up for execution, out of which 40 have been completed, 36 are  at advanced stages of program and will be completed in due course of time. Similarly,  DPRs in respect of 24 works  have been forwarded to various departments for accord of approval and release of funds. In addition, proposal for up-gradation of 20 health and educational institutions have also been forwarded  to the respective  departments in pursuance of directions of the  Chief Minister.
All the executing  agencies were directed to implement  the directions in a speedy manner  as per timelines already drawn by the  Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. It was also impressed upon all the District Officers to pursue with the  respective  HoDs/ Administrative Depart-ments for ensuring  early sanction/accord of approvals,  in respect of DPRs/ proposals forwarded to them.
