Police rescues 15 bovine animals, arrests 2 smugglers

KATHUA Feb 14 :District Police Kathua once again succeeded in foiling another bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of Police station Kathua. Police rescued 15 bovine animals and also arrested two bovine smugglers involved in the smuggling of animals.
Police said during patrolling and naka duty at NHW near Hatli Morh in the wee hours today, a team of police post Hatli led by SI Verinder Singh incharge police post Hatli intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK02BW-1413 carrying bovine animals which was on way from Punjab towards Kashmir.
During checking of the vehicle, Police rescued 15 bovine animals being smuggled in the vehicle and arrested two bovine smugglers namely Sadham Hussain son of Mohd Din residence of Chinnor Jammu along with his associate namely Subhan Ali son of Mohd Shah residence of Jitana Kathua. Police also seized the truck. Accordingly a case FIR No 57/2018 under Section 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act was registered at PS Kathua.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of Inspector Anil Sharma SHO Police Station Kathua, S.S. Sambyal, DySP Headquarters Kathua, Sanjay Parihar Additional SP Kathua on the directives of Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, SSP Kathua.
