KISHTWAR, Feb 3: Acting on a complaint filed by Shah Faisal, a resident of Puller tehsil Nagseni Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana imposed a penalty to the tune of Rs 1.30 lakh on two Patwaries.
According to the sources, the applicant wept before the Deputy Commissioner and complained that the Patwari Halqa Bhagna has not issued the revenue extracts for processing of Permanent Resident Certificate for last five months. In this regard a report was sought from Tehsildar Nagseni which revealed that two Patwaries namely Rehan Nawaz and Kewal Krishan posted in tehsil Nagseni are not disposing off the applications within specified time limit prescribed under J&K Public Services Guarantee Act.
The Tehsildar further reported that 26 applications are pending with these two Patwaries for last more than one month and the public is suffering a lot in the area.
Acting on the report submitted by the Tehsildar Nagseni, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar passed 26 orders on January 3, 2018 where under a penalty to the of Rs 65000 each was imposed on Patwari Halqa Galharbhatta Rehan Nawaz and Patwari Halqa Bhagna Kewal Krishan under Section 11 of J&K Public Services Guarantee Act-2011.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar warned all the designated officers to strictly adhere to the provisions of J&K PGS Act-2011, failing which action warranted under the PSG Act will be initiated against all the erring officials.
