JAMMU, Feb 1: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a youth and recovered 0.75 grams heroin from his possession, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Akshay Singh, son of Bishamber Lal, a resident of Gazipur Kulian.
He was arrested during a special naka raised at Ward Number 4, Simbal Camp.
A case under FIR Number 19/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
