KATHUA, Jan 30: R S Golden Higher Secondary School, Kharote, More Kathua today celebrated Annual Day in the School premises.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, KAS Officer was the chief guest on the occasion where as Dr. Yash Paul Sharma, Professor of Women Degree Collge, Kathua was the guest of honour. Sardar Khan Superintendent of Police, Retd., Sat Paul Mansotra District President of Private Schools Association, Gandharav Singh Katal, Kapil Sharma and Mahipal Sharma- all of Regional Coordination Committee of Private Schools Association and Sarpanch Mohan Singh were the other distinguished guests present on the occasion.
The programme started with the unfurling of the tricolor by the Chief guest. Then floral tributes were paid to Godess Sarswati by all the dignitaries.
Jasbir Singh, Principal of R.S Golden HSS Kathua said that School students have been excelling in academics year after year and has bagged positions in 10th class and 12th class Board examinations besides securing positions in 8th Std. examination.
Thereafter the students of the School presented a variety of colorful programme which was liked by all present on the occasion.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan in his address complimented the School management for bringing out excellent results in academic and other extra – curricular events organized in the Distt. He hoped that management will continue in its endeavor to provide quality education to equip the students with latest knowledge and know – how so that they became better citizens of tomorrow.
Later the chief guest and other guests presented mementoes to students who had bagged positions. The performers of cultural programme were also honored on the occasion.
