JAMMU, Jan 30: A delegation of Pending Shopkeepers Association (PSA) led by former Minister Dilawar Mir called on Relief and Rehabilitation Minister.
The delegation demanded that 60 shops at Jagti be allotted to those, whose names have been published in the newspaper for allotted on March 28, 2016. They added that the Relief Organization has failed to allot the shops. They informed the Minister that foundation stone for construction of 54 more shops was laid, but till today no construction work has been started.
They stated that the Relief Organization has allotted 12 shops at TRT Purkhoo as per list published in the newspaper, but failed to allot the shops to Jagti shopkeepers.
The shopkeepers, whose names were published for allotment, are suffering a lot from the past two years, the delegation members said, adding that the shopkeepers are overaged youth and have lost their livelihood by shifting to Jagti.
The Minister assured the delegation that the shops will be allotted to those, whose names are published. The construction of the remaining 54 shops will also be started very soon.
