JAMMU, Jan 30: ABVP has strongly condemned the Gover-nment’s move of lodging FIR on Indian Army personnel for killing of civilians in Kashmir.
Talking to the media person, here today, ABVP CWC member Varsha Jandial sought to challenge the logic behind registering FIR against the Army personnel.
She also condemned the Government for arresting ABVP activists who are protesting outside DGP residence demanding revocation of FIR “It is a matter of great concern that the Government is releasing stone pelters and providing them job as a bonus too but on the other hand students are being lathicharged for supporting the Indian Army,” she said.
She lamented that there was no action on the stone pelters who had not only attacked Indian Army but also snatched their weapons. “The Government needs to clear its stand and the message they want to deliver by their acts like registration of FIR,” she added and maintained that the time of pleasing the stone pelters and those involved directly or indirectly supporting terrorism should be over now.
“Kashmir is a land of saints and glory, not a place for terrorism. Terrorist supporters should be dealt like the way they deserve not like the son- in -laws of the Government,” Varsha said and demanded that the FIR against Army personnel should be immediate revoked.
The ABVP leader also threatened to launch an agitation over the issue.
