UDHAMPUR, Jan 28: A young man died after he fell from Bhagani hill at Basantgarh, under mysterious circumstances, here today.
The deceased was identified as Kewal Kumar (38), son of Paras Ram of Mang, Basantgarh. Police shifted the dead body to hospital and later handed it over to the family members after a postmortem was conducted.
Police has registered a case in this connection under 174 RPC for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a female pedestrian was hit by a scooty near Satani. Locals shifted the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred her to GMC Jammu Hospital. The injured was identified as Sushma Devi (27), wife of Raj Kumar of Mian Bagh, Udhampur.
