NEW DELHI, Dec 22: Refined soya oil prices fell further by 0.45 per cent to Rs 718.70 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators engaged in reducing their positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on easing demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February month moved down by Rs 3.25, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 718.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 38,720 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in January contracts declined by Rs 2.75, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 713.80 per 10 kg in 47,270 lots.
Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the physical market against ample stock position kept refined soya oil prices down at futures trade. (PTI)
