JAMMU, Dec 20: Domana police rescued a kidnapped woman from Srinagar.
As per police sources, on December 15 this year, a man lodged a complaint with Police Station Domana stating that his wife has been kidnapped by Fiaz Ahmed, a resident of district Anantnag, Kashmir.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 384/17 under Sections 366 and 109 RPC was registered at Domana Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped lady and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Domana Police Station conducted a raid in Srinagar and rescued the kidnapped lady, while the accused managed to escape from the spot.
The woman has been handed over to family members after completing legal formalities, while the hunt is going on to arrest the kidnapper.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Sumeet Sharma rescued the kidnapped lady under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
