KISHTWAR, Dec 13:  Senior  NC leader and MLC Sajad Ahmad Kichloo has  alleged that present regime  totally ignored the  backward areas of State even in providing basic amenities .
He said that far flung areas of district Kishtwar,  including Marwah, Warwan , Dacchan, which have been disconnected due to snowfall and heavy rains , are facing shortage of various essential commodities including ration, kerosene oil , medicines etc and there is nobody to listen to their woes .
After conducting tour of Padder and Nagseni areas of district Kishtwar,   he said that residents have complained of non availability of essential commodities  including kerosene  oil, ration and medicines etc which has added to their miseries.
“Similar is the situation of snow bound  Marwah , Warwan and Dacchan,”  Kichloo claimed and added that  following  change in scale of ration being provided under PDS by CAPD,  consumers of these areas were  facing hardships as the quota supplied was  not sufficient.
In this regard, he further said, district  administration and  concerned deptt were already intimated and asked to release the additional quota of ration  but till now nothing has been done to improve the situation . He demanded early supply of additional  ration, medicines,  kerosene oil etc  for these areas so that the poor consumers don’t have to suffer more due to wrong policies of this anti poor regime.
Kichloo said that kerosene, ration scarcity and prevailing poor supply of electricity have added to the woes of people who are presently braving tremendous hardships on account of the biting cold in the hilly districts.
