JAMMU, Dec 9: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC and SKF.
The meeting appealed the authorities to issue migrant certificates to unemployed youth of the community immediately so that they can apply under PM’s employment package. Besides, the RBA status to migrants from Rural Backward Areas be restored immediately.
Pandita, while expressing concern criticized the Relief Organization for not providing the relief for the month of November to migrants till date and demanded that the same be released immediately.
He also reiterated enhancement of cash relief from Rs 10,000 pm to Rs 25,000 pm in view of the rising prices of essential commodities and implementation of PM’s employment package in letter and spirit.
P L Pandita, (Thussu), Kashi Nath Bhat, Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Mithan Pandita, Raj Kumar Bhat, R K Raina and others were present in the meeting.
