Police still clueless over mysterious death of youth

JAMMU, Dec 5:  The police was still clueless over the mysterious death of  24-year-old Himanshu Sharma, whose dead body was recovered from the road side in New Plot area, under Pacca Danga Police jurisdiction of about three  months ago.
Jagdish Raj Sharma, father of the deceased boy, hailing from New Plot, Jammu, told the Excelsior that the dead body of his son was found lying near his shop on the intervening night of August 29 and 30, 2017. During early morning they came to know about the matter. The people had already gathered there and then the body was shifted to hospital by Rehari (Chungi) Police  Post staff under Pacca Danga Thana to GMC Hospital for postmortem.
He said while police was claiming that boy is said to have died due to over dose of drugs, it has failed to work out the case who were the boys with him  on that night and what exactly had happened. He said that they had given some names to the police investigation party  and also those boys who were with him on that fateful night but no body was finally arrested or case worked out till date. The Pacca Danga Police has only reply that they have not received report from Forensic Science Lab so far.
The Family members claimed that they  have moved to the Investigating Officer,  SHO Pacca Danga, DySP concerned  and even the MLA Sat Sharma but they have not provided justice. ” We want to know what exactly has happened to their son. “It was murder and the police was trying to give twist by making it drug over dose case just to protect the real culprits,” they alleged.
SHO Pacca Danga, Dheeraj Nagpal when contacted claimed that they have not received report from Forensic Science Lab. He said they have written for this case to the FSL as `priority  case’ but they are still waiting for the response from the Lab. The SHO claimed that he would again send a reminder to the Lab staff. He further claimed that they had called some of the suspects/ friends   of Himanshu for questioning but no clue could be established. “Once FSL report is received, we will proceed with the case,” he added.
