Drug peddler arrested with poppy straw

SAMBA, Nov 30: Police arrested a drug peddler along with poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bari Brahmana Police Station laid a naka at Balole Bridge and intercepted a car bearing registration number PB02AY-9768.
During checking, police recovered 1.200 grams poppy straw from the possession of the driver and arrested him, who has been identified as Sohan Lal, son of Hem Raj, a resident of Saida, tehsil Hiranagar.
A case under FIR Number 216/17 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Bari Brahmana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Usmaan Choudhary and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
