Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Nov 30: A drug peddler has been arrested along with ten grams of heroin from Kulian area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib Police Station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka at Kulian and intercepted a person, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 10 grams of heroin from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Amit Thapa, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Kalash Kulian. The arrested person was a drug peddler and was also an addict.
A case under FIR Number 165/17 under Section 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh and assisted by Incharge Border Police Post Kulian ASI Yougal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
