Sir,
Sometimes it is beyond understanding to explore the answer whether the traffic officials are meant only to file challans and collecting revenue in terms of fine imposed on the people who draw scooters and scooties only. Matador drivers stop in the middle of the roads and nobody is asking them anything. Overloading is the fashion of the day and nobody is asking them anything. In order to have just few passengers’ matador drivers drive their matadors at highly objectionable speed and they are not challaned. Is it not the duty of the traffic officials to work for smooth and safe running of the traffic besides cutting challans from scooter and scooty drivers.
Huge amount of money was incurred on the traffic lights and signals in the Jammu city, which is a total failure. Lights are nowhere operating. Is not this a scam? Will anybody from the traffic and from the government tell the public why traffic lights were installed? What was the total amount incurred on it and why it failed. Is anybody responsible for it?
Now the bigger question is that there are accidents, day in and day out, in Jammu city. FIRs are lodged. News appears in the media. Okay, that is fine. But will anybody tell the public how many accidents occurred, how many cases were lodged and how many cases were decided. Has lodging of FIRs become just a formality? Is there no value of the lives of the common people?
Yours etc…
