Ganga inaugurates development works

SAMBA, Oct 7: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash today inaugurated a string of development works at Ramgarh town.
He dedicated three lanes and drains constructed by Municipal Committee Ramgarh to the general public. He also laid foundation stone of community toilet to be constructed at a cost of Rs 10.50 lakh by MC Ramgarh.
He interacted with various public delegations who appreciated the quality of works being executed.
On public demand, the Minister directed EO Ramgarh to submit proposal for renovation of pond at Rajwal. He said that 300 toilets are under construction in the area and announced that Ramgarh town will be ‘Open Defecation Free’ within next six months.
He also informed that proposal for upgrading Ramgarh road has been sent for approval under Central Road Fund (CRF) scheme and is expected to be sanctioned soon. He announced that one more Community Facility Centre would be sanctioned for the town which will cater to vast population of the area. He added that Government has laid special focus on upgrading of rural infrastructure to provide people modern amenities under Health, PWD, Education and other sectors.
The Minister was accompanied by Executive Engineers of PDD, PHE, R&B, BDO Ramgarh, EO Ramgarh and other officials.
