JAMMU, Sept 9: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in its meeting at New Delhi today, appealed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh that during his current visit to the State of J&K, he may listen to the larger nationalist constituencies of the State who want complete integration of Kashmir with rest of the nation, including Kashmiri Pandits who are in exile from the last 28 years, with liberal and free mind to know their real aspiration and demands as well as reality of Kashmir.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC stated that Kashmir is a settled issue and need not to be discussed or debated just on the demand of five or six percent of fundamentalist population of the Valley who want to take Kashmir away from the Indian nation.. He said Kashmir is only a communal and law and order problem, which needs to be dealt strictly and responsible element to be isolated & punished, separatist and semi–separatist organisations in particular Hurriyat conference to be banned at the earliest. Besides, Parliament resolution of 1994 to re–capture POK needs to be given a serious thought and practical shape as well as dialogue to be initiated with KPs for their consolidated rehabilitation and abrogation of Article 370.
In this meeting president KPC Kundan Kashmiri also appealed KP community to observe Martyrs’ Day on September 14, as black day by wearing black badges, switching off lights for an hour in the evening hours as a homage to the KP martyrs as well as to security forces.
