JAMMU, Sept 7: Vigilance Organization Kashmir today arrested Naib Tehsildar Panzala for demanding and accepting bribe.
As per official spokesman, on the basis of a written complaint alleging therein that Naib Tehsildar Panzala is demanding gratification for the disposal of an already pending land case in the office of Naib Tehsildar Panzala, a case under FIR Number 24/17 under Sections 5(2) PC Act 2006, 4-A Amendment Act-2014 was registered at police station Vigilance Organization Kashmir and investigation taken up.
The complainant further alleged that he had sold two kanals out of his already purchased 8 kanals to one person who subsequently had grabbed his entire chunk of land. The complainant approached Deputy Commissioner Office Baramulla for the redressal of his grievances and accordingly after processing of his application, Naib Tehsildar Panzala namely Ghulam Hassan Lone demanded an amount of Rs 50,000 as bribe for the disposal of the said case.
During the course of investigation, a trap was laid and Ghulam Hassan Lone, Naib Tehsildar Panzala Rafiabad was arrested while demanding and accepting a part of the bribe money from the complainant.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
