NEW DELHI, Sept 6: Lead prices traded higher by 0.47 per cent in futures trade today as participants indulged in creating fresh positions due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
Lead for delivery in September edged up by 70 paise, or 0.47 per cent to Rs 149.40 per kg in a business turnover of 16 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange, .
Market analysts attributed the rise in lead futures to fresh positions built up by traders after pick-up in demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a firm trend in select base metals overseas. (PTI)
