JAMMU, Sept 5: Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 9 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police spokesman, a team from Supwal police post intercepted a Mahindra Bolera. During checking, police rescued 5 bovine animals and arrested one person, who has been identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Nawab Din, a resident of district Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 188/17 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Samba police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Supwal police post SI Karnail Singh foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Tanveer Ahmed and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
Meanwhile, Rajbagh police also rescued 4 bovine animals from a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number JK02BE-1015 and arrested one person.
The arrested person has been identified as Kulvinder Singh, son of Mohinder Singh, a resident of Plota Camp, Ramgarh, district Samba.
A case under FIR Number 166/17 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Rajbagh police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Rajbagh Inspector Sarabjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Border Ravel Singh Choudhary and SSP Kathua Mohammad Suleman Choudhary.
