JAMMU, Sept 4: The dead body of a man was today found from Chenab river in Sangrampur area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar Abrol (46) son of Dina Nath Abrol, resident of Upper Laxmi Nagar, Sarwal, Jammu.
He said that the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem at Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor.
“Akhnoor police has registered a case in this connection and started investigations”, he said, adding, the deceased had left his residence yesterday and his scooter was found to be parked near Gurudwara in Akhnoor, last evening.
