Walnut rises on fresh buying support

NEW DELHI, Nov 3: Walnut prices rose by Rs 20 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fresh buying support from retailers and stockists due to the festive demand amid low stocks.
Fall in in supplies from producing belts also supported the rise in prices.
Walnut and its kernel prices rose by Rs 20 to conclude at Rs 200-310 and Rs 550-880 per kg.
Marketmen said apart from good demand from retailers and stockists, driven by domestic demand due to festive season, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up walnut prices in the wholesale dry fruit market here.
