JAMMU, Sept 3: The return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their previous locations or townships in the Valley seems to be ultimate agenda of ruling alliance of J&K State, though Govt has not consulted actual sufferers and displaced people who have to return nor have given any serious thought about repercussions and reactions aftermath of their return to Valley.
The most important hurdle related to their return is security as displaced KPs in general do not feel secure to live in the Valley.
This was stated by Kundan Kashmiri, President Kashmiri Pandit Conference through a press statement issued here today.
He said that it is not only physical security which is at stake, the fact is adjustment in the new neighborhood and with new generation which is brought up under gun culture and to whom they (KP’s ) are not introduced at all, after their scary exodus more than two and a half decade back.
He further said that there also lacked honest willingness of majority community of the valley to welcome KPs back, cutting across all shades of political & social opinions and the threat of gun.
Kashmiri said that abrogation of the Article 370 is only viable solution of KPs resettlement which could also prove helpful in solving the so-called Kashmir issue.
“KPs in general and KPC (Kashmiri Pandit Conference) in particular categorically declare that carving out a separate Kashyap Bhoomi with writ of Indian Constitution and abrogation of Article 370 is pre-condition for KPs return to the valley,” expressed Kundan.
