JAMMU, Aug 16: Dinesh Gupta, who was elected as Chairman of the Citizens Co-operative Bank Limited (CCBL) Jammu and his team worked hard for the growth of the bank and has fulfilled the promises made with the share holders.

This was stated by State Akali Dal President Gajjan Singh while interacting with media persons, here today. The conference was called in support to Dinesh Gupta and his team comprising of.Charanjeet Singh Raina, Deepak Gupta, Narinder Singh (Kolo), Parshotam Singh Pawar, Parvinder Kumar (Pummy), Shiv Kumar Raskotra (Sharma), Suneel Mahajan and Suresh Kumar Abrol, who are contesting for the posts of Board of Directors of The Citizens Co-operative Bank Limited, Jammu.
All the branches of the Bank were made fully computerized under CBS with state of the art infrastructure, Singh said, adding that Gupta’s tenure as Chairman of the Bank, share holders and employees all have seen a positive growth. The pending issues and needs of the employees of the Bank were also resolved and promotions to high performer employees and time scale promotions were granted to the employees to remove stagnation.
Moreover, share capital of the Bank increased from Rs 546.47 lakh to Rs 1123.33 lakh in just four year, Singh said that the said capital of Rs 546.47 lkh was collected in 35 years since inception of Bank in 1978 and in just four years the share capital was doubled.
Gajjan Singh stated that online facilities like RTGS, NEFT and CTS clearing of cheques under which cheque of any city of India can be collected and cleared at par with local clearing cheques were also introduced in the Bank. Facilities like note counting machines, coin dispensing machines and Bank’s website were also introduced under Gupta’s tenure. The deposits and loans also saw growth under his tenure and business of the Bank increased to a great extend.
