SRINAGAR, Oct 29: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohi-ud-Din flagged off two contingents of 38 students including 20 boys and 18 girls selected from remote areas of the Valley for Bharat Darshan here today.
The students will visit various historically important places including Bangalore, Mysore, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in South and Central India during their Bharat Darshan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the significance of educational cum motivational tours stating that the aim of these tours is to acquaint the students with composite and multilingual culture of the country. He added that the tours will motivate the students to develop adventurous spirit and explore their talent in different walks of life.
Among others, Inspector General Border Security Force, S.S. Tomar and officers of Border Security Force were present on the occasion.
