PPEU to continue daily token protest

JAMMU, July 20: Provin-cial Power Employees Union has announced to continue its daily token protest from 10 am to 2 pm besides not to work for system maintenance and bill distribution till the demands are conceded.
Decisions in this regard were taken during an emergency meeting of Provincial Power Employees Union, held here today at Sub Division- 1 office, Green Belt Park, under the chairmanship of Shakti Gupta, president PPEU.
The meeting expressed its resentment against the system laid by M/s IRCON under APDRP, which is leading to many problems and harassment to the public besides additional burden on PDD employees. PPEU also demanded cancellation of attachment of employees of Green Belt Sub Division and reinstatement of suspended Feeder Manager.
PPEU announced not to cooperate with M/s IRCON for allowing shut down and other works at district level. In case of failure of the system, administration will be responsible, the meet said and also demanded security to PDD employees while condemning attack on one Kulbir Singh, an employee, few days back
The meeting was attended by Sanjeev Bali, Ajaz Kazmi Deep Mehra, Manjit Singh, Subash Chander, Tajinder Datta, Tarun Gupta, Kulbir Singh and others.
