RAMBAN, June 29: A woman allegedly tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Aarpinchla Khari area, falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal police station.
As per police sources, a woman identified as Gulshana Begun (35), wife of Bashir Ahmed Pachu of Aarpinchla Khari allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Finding her unconscious family members after the woman to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal from where she was later referred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
