JAMMU, June 20: Excise Department arrested two ladies along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on the direction of Excise Commissioner Mohammad Javed Khan and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu Ghanshyam Singh, the excise team led by ETO South Range Rohit Sharma along with Inspector Ritesh Gupta and Sub Inspectors Manjeet Singh, Prashant Mathur, Vikas Khajuria and Balwan Singh conducted raids in different areas of Bishnah and RS Pura and arrested two ladies from Tarachack along with 600 litres lahan and 7 bottles of illicit liquor.
The arrested ladies have been identified as Bina Devi, wife of Bittu Lal and Bimla Devi, wife of late Sham Lal, both residents of Tarachack.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against the arrest ladies and investigation started.
