JAMMU, June 19: 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Kishore Kumar today acquitted BSF jawan Mukesh Kumar, son of Sewa Ram of Doda in a rape case as prosecutrix turned hostile.
After hearing both the sides, court observed, “the statement of the prosecutrix reveals that the accused was not at all involved in the commission of rape of the prosecutrix”.
“The plea of the counsel for the accused has the force so this court is in agreement with the arguments of the counsel for the accused as such the evidence of the prosecution is closed “, Additional Sessions Judge said and held that prosecution has miserably failed to bring home the guilt of the accused.
Accordingly, court acquitted the accused of the charges leveled against him.
