Sir,
The Chief Minister J&K state, Mehbooba Mufti while addressing a gathering of Teachers at Srinagar on June12, 2017 has very rightly termed the teachers as the Role Models of the society and has very rightly and equally said that the teachers have a greater role to play particularly at the persent in shaping the destiny of the students.
I as appreciate the statement of the Chief Minister but the statement in question must not remain merely on papers and verbal slogans but to my mind if the Chief Minister really terms the role model of the society ,she must redress , mitigate all the genuine demands ,dues , problems and sufferings of the teaching community of whole of the state , so that they may get encouraged and work with more zeal , zest , dedication and devotion .
The problems, demands, dues and sufferings include holding of DPC for the in-service PG Teacher/ Masters in all subjects as there are thousands of schools across the length and breadth of state which are not having the full stength of the staff , creation of separate posts for contractual lecturers, PSC posts , regularization of all the I/c officers and officals (both Gazatted as well as non-Gazatted) ,grant of earned leave/leave salary to the teaching fraternity , issuance of transfer orders well in time without waisting the precious time of the students , providing of infrastructure , basic faculties and amenites like safe drinking water , electricity supply , play grounds, parking places , library, laboratory, lavatory facilities separately for ladies and gents, opening of Pre-nursery schools in whole of the J&K state and to hold above mentioned type addressings in Jammu and Ladakh province as well so that everybody will feel that the equitable development of all the three provinces exists there.
Therefore, a fervent plea is made to the Chief Minister J&K state to kindly redress , solve , mitigate, all the afore mentioned dues and demands etc. so that the Role Models will get encouraged and will shape the destiny of the students, and the state.
