MUMBAI, June 16: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) president Amit Shah began his three-day visit in the country’s financial capital today during which he will also meet Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
Mr Shah landed this morning as a part of his extensive tour programme of various states.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP chief Raosaheb Danve and Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar welcomed Mr Shah after he landed at the Mumbai airport. Mr Shah visit carries significance against the backdrop of recent statement by Mr Fadnavis saying that the party was ready for mid term polls. On the other hand, the relations between the BJP Sena were extremely bitter as Sena demanding complete loan waiver for farmers. The mood of all BJP leaders was leaving Shiv Sena permanently. (PTI)
