Srinagar, May 25: Northern Army Commander Lt General D Anbu today reviewed situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and South Kashmir.
The Northern chief visited the formations and units in North and South Kashmir for a review of the prevailing security situation. He interacted with the troops on ground and emphasised on the need for undertaking relentless intelligence based operations to sustain pressure on militants.
Commending the troops for their dedication to duty and high standards of professionalism, the General Officer asked them to continue strict vigil to thwart any nefarious designs of inimical elements.
The Army Commander also reinforced the need for synergy amongst all the other security agencies to effectively meet any emerging security challenges and maintain a safe, secure and peaceful environment for the people.
During the visit, Lt Gen Anbu was accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen JS Sandhu.
