JAMMU, May 23: MLA, RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat, today laid foundation stone for the construction of lanes and drains at village Chak Tahir.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Gagan Bhagat said since BJP Government has came into power in State and at the Centre several developmental works has been done. He informed the gathering that very soon the pending works of the area will be completed in the minimum time frame.
Dr Bhagat also visited the incomplete Irrigation Tubewell in the area and directed the officials to rectify the shortcomings within a week so that farmers do not face any difficulty in the upcoming Basmati cultivation. He assured that he will himself tour the area and inspect the canals where the reports of incomplete de-silting or any other problems come into his notice.
Earlier, a deputation of association of Bus Stand Salehar met him and presented him a memorandum regarding issues pertaining to the roads and street lights. He assured the delegation that the matter will be looked into and the genuine demands of the association will be considered on priority.
