JAMMU, Oct 21: The 5136th Maharaja Agarsen Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp and show by Aggarwal Sabha here today.
In this connection a grand function was organised at Maharaja Aggarwal Bhawan at Aggarwal Dharmashalla here in which a large number of people of the community participated and paid tributes to Maharaja Agarsen.
On the occasion students and Tiny Tots presented a colorful cultural programme which included songs and classical dances. They also received huge applauses from the audience for their spellbound performances.
The Director General of Prisons J&K, Navin Aggarwal was the chief guest on the occasion. He appreciated the participants and meritorious students of the Aggarwal community and distributed prizes and trophies among them.
The Aggarwal Sabha office bearers including Mahavir Prasad Aggarwal its president, Om Parkash Aggarwal senior vice president, Ravinder Mittal, vice president, Hardeep Aggarwal general secretary, Krishan Gopal, secretary and Naresh Aggarwal treasurer were also present on the occasion.
Hardeep Aggarwal presented the annual report of the Sabha and also compared the programme alongwith Dr Neeru Aggarwal.
They highlighted the contribution of Maharaja Agarsen and importance of the day. They laid emphasis on the teachings of Maharja and appealed the next generation to imbibe the teachings and qualifications of great soul.
Earlier the function started with Hawan Pujan followed by Puran Ahuti and Arti in which large number of people also took part.
