10 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, May 22: Police today said ten persons were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said an Eco sports car bearing registration number RJ09CB-5053 driven by Parvaiz Khan hit and injured a lady namely Mehtaba near bridge in Gund area of Ganderbal district. “The injured was shifted to PHC Gund for treatment where from she was shifted to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said an Alto car bearing registration number JK01J-6293 driven by Shabir Ahmad Pir hit and injured two pedestrians namely Ali Mohammad Bhat and Bashir Ahmad Ganaie at Chainbal in Pattan area of Baramulla district. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said a Sumo bearing registration number JK03C-6825 driven by Nisar Ahmad Rawloo and a Tavera bearing registration number JK03C-3882 driven by Refaz Ahmad Deka collided at Buchoo in Kokernag area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to six passengers. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The police spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01E-2133 driven by Bilal Ahmad Rah hit and injured a pedestrian girl namely Haya Jan near Kaman Post in Batamaloo area here. The injured girl was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
